A filmmaker arrives at a small village in the south of Brazil with the intention of turning Emelyn’s life into a fictional narrative. The more the filmmaker provokes Emelyn with her cameras, the more Emelyn turns into Bernardo, a teenager torn between the prospect of living his desires and keeping on desiring.

Ismael Caneppele

He made his film debut as a screenwriter for The Famous and the Dead (2009), directed by Esmir Filho. The film was shown at festivals such as Locarno, Berlin, Rio (Redentor award for best film) and Havana (jury prize). For this script, he received the Fiesp Sesi award 2010, was nominated for the Brazilian Cinema Grand Prize, and was awarded the Brazilian Academy of Letters with the Machado de Assis Award 2011. This is his first film.
